Dressing up, sunshine and gardening
Yesterday we were out at a fancy dress party. Have you tried finding a fancy dress outfit for a boy sized 10-11 years (despite not being 8 yet!) at short notice? It’s not easy, but we did it!

So, Prince Caspian and a Princess attended the party, had a fantastic time and came home full of sugar, aspartame and looking a little bit green around the edges and collapsed into bed very late. They got up late this morning and have been -challenging- all day.
Today has been lovely and sunny so we’ve been pottering about, clearing the floor a bit in here and messing about with plants and seeds. We put in another couple of short rows of carrots, put the last remaining sweetcorn (all 4 of them) into the ground. Also planted out a pumpkin and a crown prince squash and a couple of unidentified flower plants, as well as some more peas. I do need to sow more peas. I potted on some stuff that needed it and the kids sowed seed for alpine strawberries.
Now they’re racing about the garden and winding each other up because they’re tired. Food time soon though.
